Salt-Resistant Plastering & Rendering
After any damp proofing treatment, replastering is essential. Standard plaster will fail on treated walls because the residual salts in the masonry are hygroscopic — they absorb moisture from the atmosphere and push through ordinary plaster. Specialist renovation plasters and salt-resistant renders are required.
What We Provide
- Limelite renovation plaster — salt-resistant, compatible with damp treated walls
- Sand and cement backing coat and finish
- Traditional lime plastering and rendering for heritage properties
- External waterproof renders
- Partial re-rendering where needed for penetrating damp treatment
- Beading and finishing to match existing surfaces
Combined Service
Most of our damp proofing projects include plastering as part of the same package. We complete the damp proofing treatment and the replastering as one job — you do not need to find a separate plasterer, and our work is covered under a single written guarantee.
